SUMMARY:Institute: Equitable Systems Design for Restorative Justice
DESCRIPTION:As a time to “think and do\,” a central focus of the institute is to concretely and constructively promote equal access to restorative justice and dismantle structures that perpetuate disparities in criminal legal systems. \n\n\n\nWho: The National Center on Restorative Justice\, in partnership with the University of California College of the Law\, San Francisco invites practitioners\, academics\, advocates\, system-impacted people\, and professionals at the intersection of criminal legal processes and restorative justice. \n\n\n\nWhat: Throughout the day\, we will be examining the challenging question of how to advance equitable systems design for restorative justice at the intersection of criminal legal processes. The day is designed with the long-term health of system impacted communities and individuals in mind. Speakers will bring a wide range of expertise in equity\, law\, policy\, restorative justice\, and health. The institute will include a morning keynote address\, panel presentation\, dialogue sessions\, and a facilitated think tank activity. This will be an interactive institute\, so bring your questions and ideas!  \n\n\n\nWhen: Friday\, March 31 at 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a reception and light refreshments to follow. For in-person participants\, lunch will be provided.  \n\n\n\nWhere: University of California College of the Law\, San Francisco | Some sessions will be available via live stream for those who can’t attend in person. \n\n\n\nCost: Free \n\n\n\nPlease register for either in-person or virtual attendance below. Registration limited to first 100 guests in person.
