What is your work at the National Center on Restorative Justice?
I am the Executive Assistant at NCORJ’s partner institution, the University of San Diego Center for Restorative Justice. I handle administrative functions and manage backend operations that support our programs and initiatives. I also coordinate marketing and communications efforts to maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring effective outreach and promotion of our work.
How would you describe restorative justice in five words or less?
Empathy, understanding, and healing.
What’s the best piece of advice you ever received and how have you used it?
Worrying about something means you’re experiencing the problem twice: once in your mind and again in reality. This advice has helped me handle challenges more effectively by focusing my energy on finding solutions instead of stressing out.
If you could instantly learn a new skill, what skill would you choose and how would you use it?
I want to master more languages to be able to connect with diverse communities and cultures on a deeper level.
What is your favorite type of cuisine, and what is your go-to dish at a restaurant that serves it?
Japanese food! I love sushi and udon noodles.
