April 24: Restorative Justice in the South Webinar

Part of the Restorative Justice: A Regional Lens series highlighting restorative justice applications in different regions across the United States, this session focuses on restorative justice in the South and features community-based organizations and practitioners committed to implementing restorative approaches that promote accountability and healing within communities and function alongside or outside the criminal legal system. Presenters will share recommendations for implementing restorative justice based on their experience. Featured panelists include Lashawnda Singleton, Jasmyn Story, Kelli Burnett, Dan Kahn, JoHanna “J” Thompson, and Aparna Polavarapu.

Deadline: Restorative Justice in Legal Education Paper Proposal

We are seeking proposals for papers on the topic of integrating restorative justice in law school curriculum and culture. The papers will be presented at a two-day symposium to be held from June 17-18, 2024 at Vermont Law and Graduate School in Burlington, Vermont. Following the convening, accepted papers will be published in a themed issue of The Journal of Legal Education. This symposium will bring together a small group (approximately 20) of scholars and educators to explore the prevalence and impact of restorative justice education in law schools. National Restorative Coaching Program Webinar

Join us for an informational webinar on the National Restorative Coaching Program (NRCP)! The NRCP provides restorative justice practitioners with individualized support in restorative skills, frameworks, and programmatic implementation. One-on-one coaching is delivered by restorative justice leaders who have a depth of experience from a wide range of restorative justice contexts. As a continuation of formal training, coaching aims to deepen the innate capabilities and confidence of practitioners nationwide.
