The second part of our Restorative Approaches to Policing Institute took place online from October 6th thru 8th, 2021. This Institute Partner Spotlight features Vanessa Westley, a retired 29-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, who co-created and coordinated “Bridging the Divide,” a restorative policing strategy used in the Chicago area.

Police and community leaders from around the United States joined us to share, learn, and dialogue on approaches to policing grounded in the philosophy and practices of restorative justice.
